    good thing to see LSU putting up some points for the 1st time in 3 games

    bad thing to see LSU's pitching getting hammered for the 2nd game in a row

    Raph Rhymes was 4 for 5 with 6 RBI (RBI double, 2-RBI single, RBI single, RBI single, sac fly)

    Tyler Hanover was 3 for 4 with 3 RBI (2-RBI double, RBI single)

    JaCoby Jones was 3 for 6 with 2 RBI (RBI triple, RBI single)

    Mason Katz was 3 for 3 (double, single, single)

    Jared Foster was 3 for 6 with 1 RBI (RBI double)

    Arby Fields hit an RBI triple

    pitching for the Tigers:

    Cody Glenn, a freshman from Houston that got drafted 15th Round in the 2011 MLB draft, got the start. he earned 4 runs on 8 hits in 3.1 innings

    then
    sophomore Joe Broussard came in, and earned 4 runs on 4 hits in 2.2 innnings

    then junior Kevin Berry came in, and earned 2 runs on 2 hits in 1.2 innings

    then
    junior Chris Cotton and sophomore Nick Rumbelow retired the last 6 batters without earning a run

    those 6 RBI were a career high for Rhymes

    Katz reached base all 6 times at bat: 3 hits, 3 walks -- he scored 2 runs

    one plus for these two: they did strike out a combined 11 batters, including the first four batters of the game for Glenn and five straight for Broussard
