    QB = A

    Combined QB stats 13-19 130 ids, 2 TDs 0 Ints. The 2 QB system is being managed as effective as one could hope for. Still bummed Lee did not get credit for a TD pass to Shepard late in the 4th. Jefferson has never looked better running the ball, but the quick slant to Beckham could have gone for huge yardage and was horribly overthrown.

    RB = B+

    Ware wore down the Tennessee defense and demoralized them when the game was still in question. Incredible determination. Unit had 33 carries for yards for a 4.4 average.

    WR = B+

    Randle with another solid outing. Downfield blocking was exquisite. Shepard looked his best all year and LSU may finally have tapped into how we can use him best.

    TE = C-

    Joseph with a crack back block and Peterson juggling a sure TD that eventually turned into a FG were the lowlights of this unit.

    O-line = B-

    Struggling for much of the first half to generate a running game, this unit was really outstanding in the 2nd half on two successive ultra long drives chewing up valuable time on the clock. This was probably the shakiest this unit has looked in terms of pass protection all year long.

    Overall Offense = B+

    Lacked offensive inspiration early on and was losing the battle in the trenches until late in the first half which carried over to the 2nd half and the two best offensive drives for the LSU tigers that we have seen in a long time.

    D-line = B-

    Their usual solid outing, nothing spectacular. They did get gashed a little too much for comfort by a team that was god awful running the ball entering this game.

    LB = B-

    Performed decently well.

    DB = A

    Another superb outing by this group, snagging 2 Interceptions with Claiborne's pick an obvious game changer. They gave up one big play and that was all she wrote. Try 2 catches for 19 yards. It really was all she wrote. Like she ran out of ink.

    Overall Defense = B+

    The defense had a very good day overall, minus a few big pass plays and a little leaky run defense from time to time. The secondary ruled the day and made life miserable for Simms.

    Special Teams = A

    Brad Wing is the best punter in college football. About the only thing that went wrong with this unit was the punt that went about 3 yards too long that even the Honey Badger couldn't save from being a touchback. But he didn't care. Perfect place kicking by Alleman and very good kick returns, the two times we had our shots. Punt returns were also decent.

    Coaching = B+

    Play calling offensively was lackluster the first few drives, forcing the run into an overly aggressive Tennessee defense daring LSU to pass. When the reins were finally pulled off Lee, he did what he has done all yes long, come through and burn the secondary. The defensive game plan was solid. Chief didn't let the emotions of the game dictate a departure from the game plan that could have possibly put us in some tight situations defensively.

    I do not disagree with much here except you linebackers grade.......I think they were horrible on run support between the tackles. I would give them a D-

    Spot on for the most part. Only quibble is that T Bob was over matched for the most part. Also I agree the LBs were not up to snuff with the rest of the D.

    Overall not a bad game but we need better for the gumps. I feel good that we will get it.

    I disagree on coaching. From Chavis, to the Stud and Krag combo at OC, and the rest of the staff, this coaching staff (IMHO) is extremely underrated. A++++++++++

    T-Bob was getting blown up at center. I hope PJ is back for Auburn.

    I like what this staff is doing on both sides of the ball. Haven't had a game yet where I was worried about the outcome. :tigereye:

    Obviously kickoff coverage isn't factored in here. The big fat "F" that they deserve would certainly bring this grade to a C- at best.

    Meh, I'd give em a D considering they caught up to them and didn't let em score, but yeah...I was thinking the same thing. I told the guy sitting next to me that someone's gonna break one for a score against us at some point, and it almost happened...twice.

    Agree LBs were subpar in run support...C-

    Otherwise, agree. T-Bob is playing out of position and still looks 'knicked'. PJ didn't even make the trip to my knowledge, which is scary. Glad we have that bye week before Bama...

    5 returns for 135 yards for a 27 yard average, 2 more that were not able to be returned at all, so another 40 yards for those 2 brings us to a 25 yd average

    Certainly in no way screams disaster as you intimate

    4 punts with 0 yards returned

    9 shots at impacting the game and you only have 135 yards to show for it?

    Tennessee starting field position 37, 19, 11, 1, 11, 20, 1, 20, 23, LSU 37, 20

    Average starting position: 20 1/2 yard line

    I would say job well done.

    The one huge return they gave up was the only thing preventing the unit from getting an A+

    Its just ugly. Has been since the moo u game. Moo U exposed it, others have flirted with it. I want to be wrong here but I think this bites us soon.
