    QB = A+

    Combined for a perfect 8-8 for 105 yards, 1 TD, 0 Ints and a QB Rating in excess of 250. Jefferson ran for another 26 yards. Best play of the night was Jefferson standing tall in the pocket and laced a touchdown pass to Shepard as a blitzer was right in his face.

    RB = A+

    A combined 38 for 310 yards and 4 TDs. Our 5th RB on the depth chart was just as effective as our starter.

    WR = A

    Did not get a lot of balls, but caught everything thrown their way. The biggest contribution was the blocking on run plays. LSU likely can brag they have the best set of receivers who block on the edge and downfield. Billy Gonzales has gone under the radar this year as one of the best assistant coaches in the nation.

    TE = A

    On a night in which LSU did not throw the ball very much, they had 3 catches for 40 yards. And once again, as has been the case for most of the season, very effective blocking on the edges. Great to see Peterson catch a couple of passes.

    O-line = A

    Run blocking was dominant and the little pass protection that was needed was solid as well.

    Overall Offense = A

    Great night overall. We punted only once, and that was just a yard shy of a first down.

    D-line = B

    Ole Miss had a decent night running the ball but failed to do much passing as the pressure was pretty constant.

    LB = B

    Decent outing for the linebackers. Minter had a nice blitz and forced a sack. Baker continued his solid play.

    DB = A+

    Ole Miss could only muster 5 catches for 39 yards. Ron Brooks has taken over for the honey badger as that annoying pesky smallish DB that you simply can't avoid.

    Overall Defense = A-

    Did a solid job against a fairly talentless offense. Only one bad play all night, the big run by the QB Brunetti for 47 yards, setting up their only 3 points of the game. Defense scored 2 touchdowns and set up a 3rd.

    Special Teams = B

    A really good punt return by Mathieu and Brad Wing's only punt were the highlights of the evening for this unit. On the downside, a couple of Ole Miss drives off kickoffs started between the 35 and 40 yard lines. One was set up by a 15 yard roughness penalty on Mathieu. Les gave him an earful.

    Coaching = A+

    On a weekend in which so many teams were upset or played lackadaisically, Les Miles and his coaching staff had this team ready as if they were playing a top 10 team. Once again, we saw lots of Jordan Jefferson, who has taken the reins of this offense. This offense is starting to get the same swagger the defense has had all year long, and it all starts with their signal caller. That can only be a great thing for LSU as we get to the finish line hitting on all cylinders.

    I forgot to do them.

    I watched the game again earlier today. Very enjoyable.

    Ron Brooks is going to get drafted. The honey badger toking what he wanted was a real blessing in disguise. LSU is reaping the benefits. That young man is playing with tons of confidence right now.

    Ah, of course, Minter.

    Dangit, I forgot.

    I'll adjust it. They deserve a better grade.
