WRONG. Babying JJ is a big part of the problem. This is more of the mishandling of QB that we've seen for too long.

Not here to bash Lee but he needs to stop throwing it up for grabs so much. There were a handful of catchable balls dropped but there were also a decent amount of bad passes that WRs made great plays on to bail Lee out.

The two in particular I'm remembering from yesterday's game- When he threw very late to Shep and the defender almost stepped in front but Shep fought for it, and the jump ball in double coverage that Rueben came down with.

The passing game is two way street and we need both passers and receivers to be in better sync and more efficient.

I've felt the same way. After the '08 season, Miles had some regrets about throwing such a young QB into the proverbial fire and vowed not to do it again.

In '09, you can see the throws/plays called were "safer"... I didn't argue with that. I thought it was the right thing to do. But after an entire season as a starter, I thought JJ would be ready to assume more of a role as a passer last season. And he wasn't.

He has always looked too afraid to make a mistake and if not for his feet to bail him out, he would have been insipid back there.
