Whoa. Let's not get carried away. I respect JL's committment to the program, but there's no way he will go down as one of our great LSU QBs.

Lee is the backup QB now. You may not like that, but that is what the backup QB does. That is all. Nothing more needs to be read into it.

He might be a team guy, but you can see this is getting to him, by the look on his face while we were winning the SEC Championship. He didn't even have a slight glimmer of joy on his face.

I think Lee deserves a bit more respect personally. That's one of the oldest pieces of etiquette as a head coach. It's basically an insult if you put them in at the end of the game just to get it over with. It's a slap in the face. It's not about Les's decision-making, it's about how you treat players. It has nothing to do with subjectivity, that's just the way that type of move has been classified for years.

Also, I agree for the most part on the grades except for QB and Oline. I don't think JJ's lack of success should be put entirely on him because I think the O line was horrendous the first half. I'd put JJ at a C+ because when the O line got their act together, he followed suit.

As for the O line grade, I can't give them more than a C. The worst performance I've seem from them this year in the first half. It may have been followed by the best performance, but if I average an F from the first half, I get a C at best for the whole game.

Let's not forget, Lee was supposed to the backup going into the season, and but for JJ's suspension, was thrown into the staring role. Apparently, just to keep JJ's seat warm. From that perspective, I don't think Les can be faulted. JJ is the starting QB.

Regarding the little PT Lee is getting lately, there has to be something to it that we don't know about.

No I'm not arguing. I think the dissapointment was a little more obvious when he was on the sideline but of course he won't say it.

Yeah I don't know about that. He will be a loved figure for keeping the ship right. He played above his pay grade for 8 games. Great team guy. Thank god he stayed but all time great he isn't. I'm really not putting down JL. His fame will be more about him perservering than about stats. I'm a JL fan and without him we would have been in a tough spot but gotta keep it in perspective.

Man that seems kind of harsh toward Miles I suspect there might be more to the grade thing than we will ever know but Miles will never talk about it so unless Lee actually fails some classes or talks about it one day I guess we will never know  I hope Lee starts enjoying himself otherwise he will regret not taking it all in later in life because it's not every day a person gets to make a strong contribution to a perfect season even as a backup QB :geauxtige

Really, Miles punishing a senior in the last 3 games of the season after he did so much for LSU is really rather shocking. I HAVE to imagine that there's more to the story because bad grades would certainly not justify this treatment of a senior. Someone that stuck with LSU for 5 years and saved the team many times.

You could see the look of sadness on Lee's face at the end of this game. It has to be heartbreaking to not be put in when the starter went 5 straight 3 and outs and Miles basically promising him a shot in the half time interview.
