    QB = A+

    Combined QB stats 16-23, 219 yds, 3 TDs, 0 Ints, 192.6 QB Rating. Still operating this 2 QB system to the ultimate of their abilities. Nearly had a 4th TD pass which Wright had briefly. The one near interception was only because of the WR slipping on the play.

    RB = A+

    29 carries, 180 yards, 6.3 ypc, 2 TDs. Ware out? didn't matter. We still wore them out. Hilliard was bruising his way to big yardage and both touchdowns by our backs. Ford looked great as well, except for a time or two where his lack of vision hurt him.

    WR = A

    Randle with another solid outing. Downfield blocking was exquisite. Shepard looked his best all year and LSU may finally have tapped into how we can use him best.

    TE = B+

    Great play by the TEs, accounting for 3 catches for 52 yards. More solid blocking by Clement and company springing our backs around end.

    O-line = A

    More great protection for our QBs throwing the ball, save once or twice. Run blocking was excellent as Hilliard was simply put in place of Ware and the beat kept going on. This unit needs to be regarded as one of the best in the entire country at this point.

    Overall Offense = A

    Lacked offensive inspiration early on and was losing the battle in the trenches until late in the first half which carried over to the 2nd half and the two best offensive drives for the LSU tigers that we have seen in a long time.

    D-line = A+

    After having a lackluster performance last week vs Tennessee, this unit showed why the Tigers defense is to be feared. A half dozen sacks and double digit tackles for loss plays were just the statistical evidence of the sheer dominance of this unit today.

    LB = B

    Probably the best this unit has played with Tahj Jones getting some valuable PT and probably earned himself much more the rest of this season. Definitely the most impactful this unit has been all year.

    DB = A

    The entire Auburn WR corps had only 8 catches for 100 yards, a lot of that in garbage time on the only TD drive of the day by Auburn. Brooks would be starting on 99 percent of the teams in the country, on LSU he is the 4th best corner. An outstanding day thoughout for this unit.

    Overall Defense = A

    The defense had a very good day overall, minus a few big pass plays and a little leaky run defense from time to time. The secondary ruled the day and made life miserable for Simms.

    Special Teams = A+

    Brad Wing is still the best punter in college football. His punt return yardage went up from 5 yards total on the year to 12 yards. That's a 140 percent increase. ESPN can pick from about 3 different Auburn kickoff returns for their highlights of bone crunching hits if they so choose.

    Coaching = A+

    The most complete game of the entire season based on the opponent and the tradition of this game. The play calling got just a tad bid conservative after the initial TD drive, although one drive was stopped when the referee didn't give Randle his forward progress for a first down. So even that question mark of the play calling is a bit dubious.

    For the first time all year I completely agree with you Issy. For a little while I was worried Miles was gonna go straight time kill offense but to the coaches credit after a few bad series they started opening it back up and really laid it on AU.

    I agree this was the most complete game all season. I couldnt think of a better way to go into the bama game.

    Not to hijack the thread, but I was hoping to see Loston knock Trovon Reed's mouthpiece out his mouth.

    I did clap for DeAngelo Benton when he caught a pass or two...That dude really did want to go to LSU.

    Agree with the grades...especially coaching !!!!

    Can't argue with anything you said. Good analysis. Hilliard may turn out to be better than Trent Richardson if we aren't careful.

    Did Hilliard look incredible or what? He certainly should've earned some big carries in the upcoming games.

    He ran with a want to bring the pain.

    You know when a play is so silly good that you just have to laugh?

    I did that on the first TD run by Hilliard.

    I was screaming on both TD runs. The second he launched into the end zone from the 5 and went about ten yards in. Wow, this guy is going to be scary good!!! My cousin has been telling me to watch out for him (he has watched him for a long time as my cousin loves Louisiana high school football.) This is the best team I've seen at LSU (and that's just MHO.)

    The second one he looked like a missile, which I don't think is fair launching that big body forward towards anyone.

    What potential he has. WOW. I'm exited. The lines both look good and deep too. The only real weakness I see is maybe LB, but it's hard to tell the D-line is so good.

    The linebackers really stepped up today. Jones looked good.
