he listed a separate "ST/K" category & gave them an F. I have no problem with that. but saying the coaches were "Ready enough" is bush league.
Florida will be a tough game, but they'll leave with a Loss, IMO. Just reading Miles is 65-9 in Tiger Stadium. Sorry just don't see McElwain pulling the upset. They've never faced anyone near a Leonard Fournette.
My worry in this game is LSU getting in their own way and committing penalties on offense, stalling out on drives and not being able to stop Florida. It's gonna come down to who can stop who more. LSU is playing against Florida, and themselves. Miles is 6-4 vs Florida, 2 wins in a row against them. LSU has not beaten Florida 3 times in row since they won 4 in a row 77, 78, 79, 80. If Jalen Mills is back, and if LSU can play a clean game, get the special teams figured out, and play solid defense, LSU will win.
The defense was far from dominant. An A+ would be a dominating game against a SC team that is universally considered not so good, facing a natural disaster this week to boot. While the passing game looked to be making strides, I also wouldn't call it a well oiled machine. Again SC is probably in the bottom half of defenses that we'll face.
that's true we haven't beat them 3 times in a row, but the last 4 of 5 tines. This will be the fist time since the 70's then. I think 2 of mIles losses came against meyers 2006 & 2008 nc teams weren't they? the problem is they aren't really good at anything, whereas LSU is the #3 running team in college football. I mean how far do you think hargreaves will get them? I see them sucking wind & beaten down by the 4th quarter.
you would seriously give all the defensive units that high a grade? were you watching the game? this SC offense is not very good and we struggled against them
I was watching a Spurrier team getting pummeled in every phase of the game, except special teams. I was there when he destroyed us every year except 1 in his 12 years at UF
