You know, one of these days Les just may put it all together and LSU will have a team that is great in all 3 phases. I hope the defense gets better the more they play, I think getting Mills back automatically takes the db's to the next level, the linebackers still struggle in coverage although against the run they are pretty solid. The defensive line gets better as the game progresses and Lewis Neal has been a surprise to me, he has played really well. Still need more consistency from the tackle position because teams will just put 2 blockers on Godchaux if the other guys can't get pressure, because we don't seem to send more than 4 very often. Again though when your weakest spot on the defense is that 3rd linebacker, you have to play a lot of nickel, and without Jalen Mills, the slot receiver will eat Dewayne Thomas alive.
