Probably. Confidence is a huge thing in a quarterback. You want them to shrug off bad plays and bad games and get their minds back in it quickly. Nothing shatters that confidence worse than fear of being pulled anytime you have a bad play. I think Les wanted him to have a chance to shake it off, but also to show that he had not lost confidence in Jennings if he had to make a change. Les was probably a drive or two to later in making the change because of the opponent. We were not going to lose the game.
I think the way it was handled messes with their heads worse. I'm also disappointed Jennings didn't go back in later.
Not celebrating the boos, but poor decisions shouldn't be celebrated either. Some cajunish/drunkish folks wear their opinions on de shirt sleeve. Maybe they're jerks, but that's part of why Death Valley ain't romper room. We can drop it, I just wanted to get the last word.
I agree and I think that it's to Miles credit that he wanted something positive to build on for Jennings and really wanted Jennings to notch a score before pulling him, but oh my gosh, things went from bad to worse and then to what ever is worse than worse!
