Of course. This is not strawberry and cream at Wimbledon. Its well liquored fans who have spent lots of money to be entertained by their favorite football team in a stadium they have helped to pay for with the tickets and TAF fees and parking fees and expensive concessions and everything else. If the players are so sensitive that a little booing hurts their precious feelings and makes them want ot pout they should join the ladies sewing circle instead of playing the manly sport of football. Young men the same ages are risking their lives in places like Afghanistan while they lead a life of priviledge while showcasing their talents to the NFL
Harris is a classy guy who has clearly shown himself to be the team leader. He not only rallies the team around him and gets them to play better, he is media savvy and says the right thing. Despite their competition he and Jennings are probably friends.
Here's the more pressing question. If it was 150 degrees on the sideline in TS, would Les still be wearing the windbreaker? I think I know the answer.
yes. he wore it all last year when it was sweltering out. hes just showing off because his waterhead keeps him cooled and hydrated.
Either way, it was directed at AJ. Even if everyone was indeed booing Miles for being so stubborn and playing AJ when he clearly had lost all confidence. They were booing Miles because of AJ, so therefore, he feels that burden. Miles is probably too aloof to notice or care.
Pay me over $4 Million a year and you can boo me all you want. I was making love to my wife last night and I caught a peeping tom. He was booing me
Stacey and alfredeneuman are both right. The fans bought their tickets and they pay a lot of money for them so that Les can be a millionaire many times over. They come to be entertained and have every right to express their displeasure just as they express their pleasure. It is totally classless behavior, of course, and everyone knows it. Likewise, these players are grown men and if they can stand out there and take the accolades when they succeed, then they can stand out there and take the boo's when they foul up. Sure it hurts their feelings and angers them but they must suck it up and live with it. Of course, these teams feed on fan emotion in big games, it is very much a symbiotic relationship. So hurting and angering the team is a really stupid fucking thing to do.
It didn't "hurt" him enough to shush the crowd when he came in. Look, I've never said the word boo at a sporting event in my life, mainly because it would sound stupid coming out of my mouth. But I'll damn sure voice displeasure when I pay to be entertained and I'm not. Others boo, so be it. I don't care one way or the other. But the clapping and cheering I heard in that stadium when Harris came in was louder than the boo birds. And every one of you who did had the same damn effect on Jennings. Sure wasn't cheers for his effort, was it. Self-righteous bullshit to think otherwise, or that didn't have just as much of a dramatic impact on a recruit.
