At the game you could see a significant difference when Harris came in at QB. It wasn't his passing or running which were obviously head & shoulders above Jennings. The whole attitude of the team changed...the line blocked (it was night & day). The team seemed sharper on the ball. Yes we have found our QB.
I feel badly for Jennings. He has given his all and been in a tough position. It was obvious early on Harris wasn't ready at the beginning and while AJ wasn't spectacular he had the responsibility. I didn't like how he was booed last night. Let no one there claim it was Les & the coaches being booed,,,it was AJ. NO LSU PLAYER deserves that treatment and all who did should be ashamed. Yes he isn't up to it but there is no doubt in my mind he was doing his best. I do like the way the team baked him when he went in after his interceptions and when he was booed.
Hopefully that is behind us and Harris is named starter. Likewise when he has his troubles and he will I hope the fans remember that he is a true freshman doing his best.

Versus NMST, impressed with Harris and amazed at how awful Jennings looked. I feel like I've seen the exact opposite at times this year. I'll believe it if Harris can duplicate VS Auburn.

It is nice to see Fournette running with more confidence as time goes on. Other backs looked good as well. Fumbles stank. I'll believe it if the same can be duplicated VS Auburn, NMST has an especially bad run D.

I don't believe they did Jennings any favors, probably grade them at B+.

I'd like to think since we use them so much they will eventually be used as receivers. Otherwise, WTF. Kinda goes with coaching though.

Let's see what happens next week. Not overly impressed.

Still gashed by a mobile QB. Chavis' D was not good last year, looking at year two of the same. I think a B- is far too generous. Maybe a flat C.

I think I'm on board with the bashing of 31/Chavis' role in this. If our other players are too dumb to play, why are they on our team?

Not much test this week, but still looked pretty good. Another I'll believe it when I see it against SEC.

Return guys are not impressing. WTF with the roll between the legs and diving catches and crazy f-in decisions. Little pressure on punter. Pretty good punting and kick offs, except KO out of bounds. Probably grade a C+.

Not impressed with OL, DL, TE, 31, return game. WR drops and routes are painful at times.

QBs are being mismanaged again. Jennings would have benefited from play time last year. It appears Harris should have seen more play time earlier this year. It took way too long and too much to sit Jennings down to start this game. Why didn't Jennings go back in rather than waste play time giving it to Kragthorpe? Maybe that will help him relate to the QBs who will actually play this year, but relative to putting Jennings in I think the benefit is small. The whole QB philosophy is BS during Miles' tenure, and I bet 2 cents it is Miles who is making those decisions. Les "QB Kid Gloves" Miles is probably providing steady business for BR shrinks, sending LSU QBs at a higher rate than would be the case if he were to just give it to them straight.

I expect to struggle mightily against Auburn.

It is shameful, but I think the coaches bear some of that. It took way too long to put Harris in tonight. I also think it is a joke we didn't see Jennings again.

I'm not a boo person, I'll mostly frown and shake my head. But this whole booing defensiveness from fans, coaches and players is ridiculous. Tiger Stadium hasn't gotten its reputation from an unemotional fanbase, don't expect that not to apply to pitiful performances. Coaches and players know what's at stake when they step out there, put the big boy pants on. If you're doing great, you'll hear it; if you're sucking a fat man's ass, you better damn well expect to hear that, too. It's called passion, whether everyone likes it or not.

Maybe shameful isn't the right word, and I wasn't whistling Dixie when 10 kept trotting to the field. I'd have been booing the coaches, though. I like 10 and have a feeling he'll be important before its all said and done (definitely don't agree w JJ 2.0 comments, though Les' handling is similar). I'm thinking Harris will struggle against the sec. Hope he proves me wrong.

The last series Jennings played were the loudest boos, and I can appreciate the players patting him on the helmet. But those boo birds were definitely for the coaches, though it all sounds the same in the stadium. At that point it was obvious Jennings wasn't getting it done, but the coaches left him hanging. It was akin to Kevin Costner's character in Tin Cup when he kept trying to hit over the water.

That's one kid we can't afford to lose on defense.

Les never gives word on injuries very quickly. But it was a knee and Thomas didn't look too good when he went into the locker room on crutches.
