The coaches won't give up on this season until we're out of contention for the West.

This could be a year where it'll take a 3rd conference loss to be eliminated with how tough our division is.

So, if I were the coaches, I would play my best group each week that gives us the best chance at victory for that week.

Once we pick up that 3rd conf loss, then I would look to the future.

Jennings is our best QB right now.

Harris WILL be the better QB.

That's how I would handle this situation.

    Really?

He's ahead of Harris right now. The folks that don't agree are only factoring in Harris play during the final minutes of the State game.

Yes, Harris looked good. But there was ZERO pass rush coming his way, and he threw up a couple of jump balls that got caught.

But come on man, if you've watched all 4 games, you'd know Jennings is our best option..... as of right now. Harris will be the guy, but he's not that guy right now.

Not enough to be significant, at this point. They are essentially equal in many ways.

As thin as we are at quarterback, its a bit early to run off Harris by benching him, don't you think? Harris still has much to prove and Jennings may not be through, either. Both are still learning the job and making rookie mistakes. I think we play both these guys this season.

Let him earn more playing time by his performance on the field. He has already earned a first half appearance, possibly a first quarter appearance. If he is the future, that is the time to show it. I guarantee that if he separates himself from Jennings he will get most of the PT and the start. But he has to prove it against the heavyweight SEC West competition that is coming up. He has most of his rookie mistakes ahead of him, too.

Dude has thrown more than just "jump balls". are you kidding me?

I can think of 2 perfectly thrown fade passes for TDs. He throws with incredible accuracy while rolling out. He is patient in the pocket. And he can throw a solid screen pass, which seems to elude Jennings.

Also, the ZERO pass rush just means he had to read the secondary that much better. Wash IMO.
