I'm not real concerned with whether Harris starts or not, but if he doesn't see at least half the snaps, somethings not right.
I agree, TT. I think he should've been getting 1/2 the snaps all along. Best way to settle the issue. Otherwise, all the fans will be clamoring for whoever is the backup. I strongly suspect that when Harris gets more snaps (which I'm in favor of, btw) we'll see that he's just as green as Jennings if not worse. The less he plays, the better he seems to some fans. I would add that it would work the other way around too.
That's what some don't get. Harris is going to make some mistakes, and some of those mistakes are going to be big mistakes that could or will cost us a game. But... honestly, I see bigger up sides with him then Jennings, although I think both will be serviceable. Imo, get the bullshit out of the way and let Harris make those mistakes. He'll eventually either prove he shouldn't be under center, or he'll get better and become a real dangerous dual threat. Either way he ain't gonna learn sitting on the sidelines getting 2-3 series a game.
I see, so if what I said is going to happen does in fact happen then it's okay to run him off? Is that it? Cause its comin
I only see mass mutiny from the LSU faithful if shit does not change. But then again what is there to change? You can not change inexperience and you can not change youth. Those two factors are our major Achilles heel. While I enjoy seeing our Tigers go to the dance... we have got to keep some experienced juniors, we can not stay in rebuilding mode every two years. We obviously can not do shit about this season except change some personnel around and hope that works, but I will give Miles the benefit of the doubt for now, but when the 2016 season comes around and we're not in contention for the conference title... then yes, I will be on the Miles must go bandwagon.
Maybe they could sell the football program to some billionaire. There are only 32 NFL teams and there are lots of billionaires who would love to own a college football team. Double Sean Payton's salary to coach LSU. I'll bet Mark Cuban would buy them
Correct. What people need to wrap their head around is that Jennings does not offer anything more in the experience department. Jennings on Saturday night appeared to have played in the very first game of his career. If someone had not known, that would have been their guess. It was one horrific decision after another from the kid. So I don't think we even need to throw in the caveat about "Harris making rookie mistakes". These QBs are one and the same when it comes to that factor. The bottom line is that Jennings cannot be allowed to continue under center when his ceiling is so low. He is not the future. The future needs to begin now with Harris. Come 2015, Harris will be ready to lead this team to a possible SEC championship. But ONLY if he is given the reins now. Not next year by winning the job in 2015 Spring ball.
