Did you look at some of the SEC scores today? Hunter plays well. I too think Allen could help inside, don't know if they make the move. I watched Hunter play in high school, he played offense, defense and special teams.
Hunter is going to be great, I just don't know if it's going to be this year, in fact I don't think it will be. Allen is active, but that's about it. Better than not active, but we need someone who can constantly harrass the QB. Rasco is failing miserably in that regard against inferior competition.
Allen gets his hands up in the air, and he's all over the place. Hunter will come along by the end of the year I am sure. Rasco did rather well tonight, except that roughing the passer penalty.
nice to see a big body like Beckwith in the LB area of the field. he could be a beast once he gets some experience back there.
I disagree with the grading of the db's, lb's and coaching. You are not going to completely shut down these new fangled offenses and I did see some very good plays and some crisp tackling. And we didn't give up a bunch of big plays which is good. And I can't blame the coaching for the false start on a great call.
I'm resigned to the fact that we're facing a shoot-out in Athens. I still feel like we'll be able to outscore UGA, but I don't expect to shut them down. Alabama? Their offense does not scare me. I knew that the Aggies' shitty defense would make McCarron and company look better than they are, and they did. I think it's hilarious that Saban's defense still cannot shut Manziel down, by the way. We will score on Bama. By the A & M game, I think our defense will have gelled, and we will score at will on the Aggies. We blow them out.
If your team has 11 penalties, that's on coaching. You coach and coach and coach until they don't make those senseless penalties anymore. Watch the Saints play and tell me how many times you see a false start. Sean Payton won't stand for it. Penalties are always a reflection of coaching. Just like a team that gets 15 yard personal foul penalties. They are coached to be aggressive and suffer the consequences from time to time. Saban isn't happy about the penalties his team received yesterday and will correct the problem.
Amazing to think that we have enough faith now in our offense to win a shoot-out. What a difference from the past several years. Re the Alabama/A&M game, neither of those defenses impressed me, and I expect LSU to be able to put up some nice numbers on both.
Cam is running this show, you can see this. The WR's in route running, blocking down field, etc. The OL will get an ear full this week. But when you overcome all that we did and still put a game out of reach, we are getting there. We missed a couple blocks by the RB's, this too is being worked. The film tells you whats needed. Mett is still a work in progress, but I like the direction.
