Not reading 40+ pages. I read through 15. Sure Les Miles is called a fucking idiot, does that hurt your feelings? Doesn't bother me. Was it deserved or do you feel that Leslie had a masterful game plan that we would be happy with at the end of the day? Sure we are happy with win but it is not just wins which a massive chunk of this board agrees with week in and week out. I don't want to beat McNeese by 3 points. I don't want to beat Iowa by 7, we are better than that. Playing down to competition is not a good thing. Second comment that stood out to me is the JJ2.0 comment. As previously stated this is not a stupid comment. If several people are seeing the same thing then it is very possible there could be something to it. Does it mean we don't support Jennings? No. Does it mean that Jennings has no room for improvement? No. Does it mean that Jennings needs some work? Absofuckinglutely. Why is it a bad thing to recognize it? Didn't we hire some guy named Cam Cameron to help in this department? I think we did and I am happy he is here to help. Our QB play has been lacking for a number of years with this year being a HUGE improvement. Third comment I saw on Welter. He is slow and widely considered to a weak link. Is it bad to say that? No. Does it adversely effect the team? No. It is people paying attention to the game and seeing issues. Hey could be that Welter is trying but we aren't giving those participation trophies for guys with good effort. We are putting a team on the field to win. We pay our coaches a shit load of money to win not to be good participants. Get over the comments. You expect people to love every aspect of our team. Most love the program no matter what but to sit back and think for a second that they are above criticism is just plain crazy. Hell if we can't look at our team and judge what is working and what is not then who the fuck can? Nobody said anybody had to agree with what is typed but stop telling people what is ok to post and not. Sorry LaSalle, not trying to pick on you but all of it gets old. People are encouraged to come and post. I did not do it for a very long time due to the mentality of people on this board. This LSU forum or the other LSU forums are set up to promote discussion about LSU sports and a few other things. While somethings may not be popular as a topic or something we may all agree on, this is still an avenue for people to post what is on their mind with other people who support the same University.
I don't expect everyone to love every aspect of the team. I expect LSU fans to support LSU coaches and the players. Man, Welter is slow, he is having trouble staying with SEC running backs, and tight ends. Man Jennings had a rough first start, he held on to the ball too long at times, and wasn't pulling the trigger, and didn't look to scramble quick enough, he made some mistakes out there today. Man, Les and the staff sure are playing conservative today, I wonder if it's a combination of Jennings' first start, the field, and our bruising running attack, maybe a lack of complete confidence in the young guy? Instead what do we get? Les Miles is a fucking idiot, man I hope Texas offers him 10 million because he needs to go, what the fuck is he doing the fucking dumb ass. Man Jennings fucking sucks, it's Jordan Jefferson 2.0. I mean come on. You want to discuss LSU football lets discuss it? You want to flame and trash the players and the coaches, go to the sideline and do it. That's the board to do that kind of shit. I NEVER said ANYONE is above criticism. Do a search on that, I've said it many, many times, NO ONE IS ABOVE CRITICISM. But saying a dude fucking sucks, or is a fucking moron, or is Jordan Jefferson 2.0 is not criticism. It's cowardice. It's armchair quarterbacking, all these people think they are so much better and could do such a better job, while they suck down budweiser in a can and yell at the tv. "well I don't get paid 4 million" Damn right you don't, or you would be a fucking coach of a major program. Criticize all you want, discuss all you want, but name call our coaches, and players, and throw out hatred and vitriol, expect for someone to defend them. It's really that simple. I don't know you, you may be one of the coolest dudes on the planet, who knows. But I have never jumped on someone on here for constructively being critical of LSU coaches and players. But when the wingnut faction of the fanbase comes out and starts in with the negativity, sure some of us on here feel the need to pump the mother fucking sunshine to balance it out.
Glad to know that JJ 2.0 is in the same category as fucking idiot and fucking dumb ass. Now that I have that straight I can use the insult next time I need one.
I never meant it as an insult to him and I hated JJ. My thought process behind it was picking the player that he mostly resembled in the outing. Sure he reminded me of JJ but the upside to me is this kid is fresh as they come. Lots of time to get him where we need to be with him. Isn't that why we hired Cam? Without Cam I would think we possibly could be in deep shit since we have had issues with development in the past. But no point in getting bent about it, we just don't know what the future holds.
I imagine Jennings cares. The fact that you expect a true freshman in his first start to come out looking like a seasoned upper classman says more about you then it does of him. He's second on the depth chart for a reason. Give him a chance to learn how to play the position against elite talent before you start labeling him the 2nd coming of JJ. As for commenting, this board has less censorship of ANY that I know of. Say what you want, but don't criticize people for attacking your position if they don't agree with it. Back it up with facts and debate away.
H Yes he cares that I said he has great potential. Yes he cares that I said he reminded me of JJ. We all know he is not critical of himself and looks to internet chat boards to boost the moral that he desperately needs. Thanks to all to pointing out the folly of our ways. Consider us changed men.
He did say he wanted people to doubt him. I know I work much better when people are betting against me. He might be the same way.
