I enjoyed his success last night but I still dont get all fuzzy watching him. He was supposed to be the 2nd fastest player on the team so maybe thats why Im expecting something different than I see. He is not game-fast imo and looks like a too-upright running power back. I actually like the way magee runs more but im probably just picking a nit.
Last night was the first time I saw him look anywhere close to his high school film. He had a few impressive moves where he spun around a tackler, plus he concussed a Florida DB with a knee to the head as he trucked over/past him.
I loved the first touchdown run. At one point he stuck his forearm in the defenders throat while driving him backwards into the end zone.
This kid is only going to get better. He is finding his own, and good things are coming from him. Let him have a full year in the LSU weight room, and you're going to see a night a day difference.
never saw any film but i guess i need to readjust my view of him as a speed back to a power back. hes definitely doesnt seem quick on kickoff returns even when the holes open up. Id put jarvis landry back there; if he wasnt with the dolphins.
