Funny, I didn't see you there. Fans who sit on their asses at home and bitch about empty seats in the stadium really piss me off. This was a large and rowdy crowd.
From what I am reading this morning the heat took its toll on alot of our fans yesterday. Might be why many upper seats were empty?
The heat was oppressive. Parties with kids and elderly people were leaving before halftime because they just couldn't take the heat. There was also a massive people-jam at the gates. Everybody seemed to arrive at the last minute because no one wanted to sit in that sun any longer than necessary. I missed the kickoff for the first time ever. Regulars were still trying to get in halfway through the first quarter. And there were a lot of student no-shows for a big game.
Traffic and parking was a nightmare yesterday. River Road was at a standstill and even people with passes who left 3 hours early didn't get to their spot before the game started. Similar around campus. I know at least 3 groups who just gave up because the game started and they didn't see any light getting to campus. And as Red stated that caused backups on the ramps entering the game. Something has to be done about this soon. How do we expect to expand a stadium and also limit parking and contra flow?
I get it. Les is dead on right! Of course, one has to have followed him for some years to appreciate the ebb and flow of the electrons surging around in his braincase, but, nonetheless, I GET IT! Damn glad he's our coach! And not Little Nicky, Muschamp, Spurrier or some other red-faced whiner.
1. I don't live in BR. 2. The game I have attended this year I stayed til the final whistle. 3. The other game I will attend I will stay til the final whistle. 4. You can blow me. 5. If you left early or didn't fill your seat you get a fucking a D too. Sell your tickets or you should have em revoked. Oh the heat, grow a dick.
Yep, with the importance of fans coming to the games and spending money lsu should make this their biggest priority. It is getting as bad as it was back in 60's before interstate. Sometimes it took hours to to and from the games on Highland. LSU needs to get with the BR and State police and really work hard on a solution. And Red is correct, there were damn good reasons for LSU deciding many years ago to play the games in the evening.
Yeah, I don't get the complaints about the loudness of the crowd. It certainly seemed very loud on TV, given that it wasn't a night game.
