The redzone reminded me of the Florida game and we all know what happened. We lost our shot at the Sugar Bowl. What is going to make this offense truly complementary and something we can take into the Bama game and actually have a shot at winning is our redzone offense. We need to score 7 especially on goal to go situations. Again, I do feel like this will get resolved.

Oeaux in his interview said he wants to be 50/50 run pass but that just wasn't what the looks from the D were. We will see when they stack 8 what we do.

MSU is going to test this theory.

If he coaches anything like 2 of his mentors, Pete Carroll and Jimmy Johnson, he won't be coaching to keep games close...

The Golden Triangle area of SE Texas produced some pretty damn good coaches. In addition to JJ, both Bum & Wade Phillips coached there. I literally ran into JJ at the Big Oaks Club many, many years ago. He didn't apologize and I didn't ask for one. As I recall he had a fairly large posse with him.

As well as rock stars Janis Joplin and Johnny Winter. When I was a freshman at LSU I played on an intermural flag football team. Our QB was a guy who had played QB at Thomas Jefferson HS in Port Arthur, same alma mater as both JJ's (no shane, not that JJ) That Christmas holidays I visited my grandparents in Port Neches, TX in the Golden Triangle. While I was there I met a girl and got a date with her. Then she asked me if I could get her friend a date. Yeah, like 'm not from here, but then I called the AB friend. I don'r remember his name but when the friend found out who she had a date with you would have thought it was Mick Jagger from the way she reacted.

Draw a line from waco to college station then over to austin then back to waco and you have the SE Tx triangle of despair

Call Houston for the next one. Major Applewhite might be the next big flop.

If we get another big WR to step up and take the pressure off Chark, we can throw some fades and fix that. Etling should do well with that pass. Also we didn't run any RB screens or TE curl routes in the red zone which I'm sure we are saving for the right time. We have the personnel to fix our red zone issue, just need to run the plays. Not sure if CMC was just keeping it vanilla because we were ahead.
