Derrick Henry had 23 carries for 127, 5.5 yards a carry. I think we can run on them, and I agree their run game isn't that good. LSU has a better secondary than Alabama, Alabama may have better DT's and LB's.
Completely agree. Totally different animal. I think the gap between the Bama front 7 and ours is negligible but there is a huge gap between secondaries. Ole Miss' strengths on offense play right into ours on defense. That Ole Miss defense appears scary good though...
#1 pick written all over him. Especially with no marquee QB to take. I remember him playing against us his freshman year before he came into his own but wasn't he banged up last year to the point he either didn't play or was a non-factor? I remember him being hurt just not sure if he played. That MF'er is healthy now and it's showing!
They were scary good last year too and we ran roughshod over them, even though we didn't score many points. That said, I think we'll need more of a vertical passing attack to beat them again this year.
Fucker is pretty damn fast for a 295 - 300 lb guy, and he doesn't even look big, he looks like Patrick Willis' weight, I guess it's because he is 6-4 and Willis is 6-1.
The Ole Miss game is a game we will need Harris to play well. This game is a big reason LSU should be trying to get Harris and the receiver in sync rather than just a few screens and mainly runs. They did a better job against Auburn, but a few more passes to get them in sync is needed. As for the LSU D against the Ole Miss O, we will need to get after Kelly. They have a lot of solid receivers, I don't care how good our DB's are, they will need help in this game. The defensive play calling will be big in this game. No pun intended, but Key will be a key in this game. I'd like to see he and Teuhema in at the same time. Bower has been solid, but I haven't seen Neal being disruptive.
