Harris got to throw it three times in a row once. No first down. You go with your strong hand. Perhaps Harris will get more confident and his coaches will feel it, too. He is already steadier and has control of the offense. In time his downfield passing may improve. Meanwhile this is the Leonard Fournette parade.
For the first time Harris showed himself to be an effective game manager. He will only get better as the season progresses.
I agree with that 100%, but you can't wait until you need a passing game to develop one. That's my only concern
Guice reminds me of Barry Sanders on steroids - not saying he's that bad ass yet, but he looks like a faster, stronger version of Sanders. I don't know that anyone will ever break ankles like Sanders did his entire career, but I'm looking forward to Guice getting more touches.
I don't see many complaints about yesterday's offense, just an acknowledgment that a passing game will be needed at some point t and that it takes time to develop it. Yesterday's offense was extremely exciting, I'm just not confident it beats Bama.
I think what most want is just a balanced attack, where the D can't cheat and put 8 or more in the box. If we had the ability to make opposing defenses respect the pass, #7 may run for 411 by himself.
Exactly. Don't wait until you need it, then try to manufacture one. That can only lead to forcing things. Hopefully, we'll use these next 2 games against inferior competition to iron out the kinks.
