Someone posted another post from the same Bama board that went something like "I heard Chuck Norris is looking for some Leonard Fournette pajamas".
Maybe even funnier is a link with what our fans were saying about him a year ago. Sadly, I shared a lot of this same sentiment. http://www.tigerdroppings.com/rant/...ur-assessment-of-fournette-thus-far/52401095/
I only read through one page of that, but I think that I might have read it last year. I wasn't incredibly impressed this time last year, either, but suffice to say he has come into his own and looks to be not just a once-in-a-decade back, but a once-in-a-lifetime RB. I know that people think that a passing offense is sexier than a running-oriented offense--but who was on every highlight reel yesterday? And how sexy was his running?
I'm too sexy for my car Too sexy for my car Too sexy by far And I'm too sexy for my hat Too sexy for my hat What do you think about that?
Who here have you seen calling for a passing offense. I think what some want is an offense that CAN pass. 99.9% of the people here are happy with a power running team. I'm not sure how so many keep getting confused and think fans want to see a pass happy offense just because they'd like to see the ability to throw the ball.
I see a lot of complaining about the top-ranked offenses, which are often passing offenses because they will gain a lot of yards, generally. Yes, we need to continue to develop a viable passing game, absolutely. But yesterday's running offense was every bit as exciting as a passing offense--and it had the added bonus of wearing AU's defense out completely in that oppressive heat.
Give a game ball to whoever first decided that the LSU side would be the west side of the stadium. LSU's bench was in the shade a long time before Auburn's bench.
