Nice ending, I agree. Evan Washington did have a good game and got needed playing mins. Tre injury seems to be ok, should be ready for uga.
No, but if you are gonna make a statement, I didn't think you were right, cause I didn't see 3 straight losses. Go back and look at the play calling, it was consistent throughout the game. Hanagriff just covered it on the radio. He said much of the same thing I said. Maybe both of us are wrong?
I think you guys are getting in a tizzy right now for no real reason. As Oklahoma has shown in the past, beating the snot out of teams is detrimental to your team's performance. LSU was in control the entire game.
Looking ahead to UGA I like the way we match up with them. I think the X-Factor for them on offense isn't Gurley it's Murray's escapabilty. He is alot better on his feet than he gets credit for. Georgia runs alot if I formation too and I think our defense will be better against this style of offense. Georgia doesn't have a stud wide receiver, but their tight ends are a big part of what they do so linebackers and safeties are gonna have to step up. I think ZM, coming home, playing against guys he knows, and the coach that booted him has his first 300 yard game of the season and LSU gets out of Athens with a 42-35 victory. Also bank on OBJ having a huge return in this game too.
Kind of like N. Tx did today? 99 yd kick return. The AD at N. Tx. use to be an Asst. Coach at LSU years ago.
Same here. I CANNOT STAND the lack of killer instinct. Once we get a lead, we get ultra conservative to milk the clock. I hate it.
I loved the fake field goal, but it is crazy to me that you try that but willfully go three and out multiple times at the end of the game to "run clock". How about just a bit of that gumption to get a slow to moderate drive at the end of the game to keep the ball out of aubie's hands? Another game with Miles, another opportunity to get QB #2 some play time FAILED!!! When our next QB struggles it will be because Les screws up QB development; hopefully Cameron can combat this. The fans were also a huge disappointment, death valley looked like a ghost town on national tv. Hill and FBs and the Mett (did wilt a little too much under pressure) and the WR duo were nuts for much of the game. OL opened holes and allowed Hill to shine. Punting improved. Very solid outing against SEC competition despite my bitch fest in paragraph 1. And on the flipside of my complaint that we didn't nail the coffin, Les either intentionally or unintentionally got a strong win without announcing to the world early that we are one bad mofo. This kind of allows us to continue to lie in the weeds in wait VS flamboyantly announcing we are the team to beat. Overall grade, B-. PS- LSU stopped Auburn's multiple tries at 4th down, but I liked the aggressive play calling from aubie.
Thats exactly what it was .... a flashback to BAMA last year when CLM went all church lady on us and let Bama come back and win it. The man has a serious problem with convincing scores against quality opponents. LSU will not beat GA, Bama or ATM if CLM goes for the "burn the clock strategy" and hope our inadequate D will hold. Our entire D gets Ds in my book. Could not stop the run up the middle, could not stop the deep pass. LBs not filling in the gaps, DL not dominant and missed tackles. A better, seasoned offense last night would have shredded our D. I'm not seeing it. Chavis has some issues to address.
