My step mother's niece is married to Jamie, it is amazing how well he handled everything knowing how much venom he encountered face to face and through the media. Not to mention things his friends and families members heard.
Man, I heard everything from he threw the game because he was given "an offer he couldn't refuse" from Mafia bookies to he was pissed at Curley and trying to get him fired. I'll tell you one thing . . . Jamie Howard had big brass balls to pass up pro baseball and return for his senior year after all of the crap he took. It was a good year for him too, although he missed some games with a shoulder injury. He opened the season with 98 straight passes without an interception.
Last night I saw Auburn run up the gut all night long. In fact, I was kinda amazed at how the LSU front 4 can't seem to plug holes. The TD run went right over Freak! I'll agree Allen is a tad light to be inside .... but he's a pretty tough kid. With a little experience, I can see him being a significant contributor.
Then your step mother's niece plays tennis with my cousin. Last I heard Jamie and Big David LaFleur, had a business together putting in MRI machines of something of the sort. I talked with David at one of the Recruiting Bash's years back.
Allen is listed in the 250 range, just got a note from a friend, hes closer to the 270 range. One DT that started as a DE, is Brockers, coming into LSU around 255#'s and 6'6" only got offers from A&M, TX Tech and Houston, the staff saw something, he left LSU the 14th pick in the first round. After only playing two years.
I have predicted a loss there, at UGA, but then we win out. 13-1, BCSNC wouldn't be too bad, if you know that is what follows that loss. I think the team, and CLM, learn from UGA this week, and start putting the foot on the throat, as someone else said here earlier. Incidentally, I will be at the UGA game w/my son. We are going to Athens on Friday, checking out the campus, etc, then the game on Saturday. Solidified my tickets and a parking pass this weekend - SWEEEETTTT!!!. I expect us to lose a close game, but am cautiously optimistic. We'll be there cheering til the end no matter what, I can assure you of that.
If you'll go back an look at the game, with 9:13 in the 4th, he was slid into the DT position, an came close to getting to the QB after taking on the guard and center. It was a good attempt. Didn't look that close to see if he played anymore, just caught that one. Along those lines, I saw former LSU player Kyle Williams moved out and played a little DE in Sundays game.
Michael Brockers beefed up to 325 lbs. Allen isn't an ounce over 265. If I hear Allen is playing DT this Saturday, I'm putting $1,000 on Georgia. And I'm not a betting man.
I didn't like the fake for a number of reasons not the least of which is we can't use it again when we really need it. The defense will be looking for it. I think Miles has let the Mad Hatter BS go to his head. I had flashbacks of the Alabama game last year after that play. When the situation calls for a field goal, kick the dam field goal. It wasn't a long one. Sometimes I just don't know.
