Why would you do anything but play it safe, when it is mid-way through the second half, you have a two to three touchdown lead, and you're matching your opponent score for score. The object is to win games, not style points. You don 't get more than one "W" no matter how original, innovative, or aggressive your offense is. You only get the "W" if you score at least one more point than your opponent. This game was never close and never in doubt. Miles and Cameron played this one right. I have no doubt that in the Georgia game, if we need to be more aggressive, or innovative, or risk taking on offense, we will do so.
This team hasn't had many 3-and-outs, JP. Running the ball with the lead is absolutely what you want to do, especially if your defense is gassed. Auburn just happened to man up and shut the run down in those particular series, something they hadn't done very well all night. It's been said already that if we had thrown three incomplete passes, which is just as likely as three stuffed runs, people would be bitching about that, as we've seen after the Clemson game. Injuries can happen at any time, especially on a wet field. Would you rather they risked injury to ODB or Landry instead? All they have to do is slip on a break and turn their leg, like the Auburn receiver did at the beginning of the game. IDK, I think they did the right thing by going conservative. I'm sure that if the game got within a TD, we would have turned the jets back on.

He has A's on all assignments so far, but still hasn't earned a final grade. Currently he has an I for incomplete, but is on course to earn an A if he can maintain the start he has had.
I will grade him in December that is when he has had all of the test! He is on track for an A but the next few weeks will tell the tale of how creative he will be.
So right, look at what happened during the game to the auburn WR, hes out for the year. I'm like you, it was a nasty field. If they would have had Landry or OBJ go out the same way, we'd never hear the end of it.
