If Jindal closed that deal...it must be because he was out of town and he had some extra time after spending the day fundraising for himself. Jindal is the worst governor ever and that's judging him by "LOUISIANA" standards !!! Leadership....what's that ???
Bobby Jindal ranks last among possible 2016 presidential contenders, says new poll http://www.nola.com/politics/index.ssf/2013/07/bobby_jindal_president_2016_po.html
So you hate Gov. Jindal. I get that. Read Supa's posts so I don't have to repeat them. NOLA is quickly becoming a major tech center. La is quickly becoming one of the most desirable places to do business. All of this is through Jindal's leadership.
I don't hate him at all...I am disappointed I voted for him. I too had high hopes....but they were not realized. I am not even liberal. It's true that, by law, hew has to balance the budget. It's true that, by law, he can only cut health care and education. I have a problem with him because he has done nothing to try and alleviate a health and educational crisis in Louisiana. He couldn't even push through his own budget proposals in a republican capitol environment. He abandoned it completely on the eve of the legislative session. He has absolutely NO leadership skills whatsoever....he is good at raising funds for himself-even though he has NO shot at any meaningful run for any significant office. Mary Landrieu would absolutely destroy him in a senatorial race. That's why he announced that he had no interest in that race. That's like me announcing that I am not trying out for the saints as a linebacker. (all this coming from a pro life republican.)
Kyle, I haven't talked with you for a while and I knew I'd be able to smoke you out with that post. It's good to be back !!
PS. Jindal only openly opposed medicaid expansion because he's such an idealogue that he was looking for talking points to kiss Republican butt in order to get a cabinet position in case the republicans won.
An editorial....(didn't read all of it, but will later.) Probably some food for thought in it. http://www.nola.com/opinions/index....indal_looks_past_th.html#incart_river_default
From an article discussing the call center:http://www.gobogalusa.com/news/article_0bf73040-cd5d-11e2-a839-001a4bcf887a.html Thanks, President Obama for pushing the legislation that makes this call center necessary and Ryan Seal for lobbying to bring these jobs to Washington Parish.
I don't hate him...I just think he may be the best "do-nothing for Louisiana" governor we ever had. I am sooooo disappointed in him. He basically screwed up his chance at gaining a national office and helping Louisiana....by a severe lack of leadership...and focusing on self interest. Smart, capable dude...but blind ambition cost him and Louisiana a lot.
