    Why not just change the definition of marriage?

    Would save a lot of money and time.

    the social institution under which a man and woman establish their decision to live as husband and wife by legal commitments, religious ceremonies, etc.
    b.
    a similar institution involving partners of the same gender: gay marriage.

    All of these social issues are a distraction and are unneeded. It's the economy and deficit that's important on both federal and state levels. Why fight this fight? Why stir up this hornet nest? Is he trying to distract people from what's really important? I don't get it. It's the economy stupid.
