This might be the best experience I've ever had on an internet forum for an opposing team. Everyone here is pretty knowledgable, not particularly mean spirited in their trash talk, and surprisingly level headed. I've really come away from this week liking LSU a whole lot. For a while I've been searching for an SEC team to follow. I have friends at Auburn and I tried to get behind them (even visited last year when we played) but something about how they were so snooty about being "hospitable" (they would literally tell me how awful our fans were and then tell me they were going to show us how you're supposed to treat fans and be rather jerkish about being nice) and the super Southern nature about everything (was insulted for being a "Yankee" a few times) put me off. LSU how ever kind of gives me a kindred spirit feeling. Your program is oddly similar to ours, you don't seem to full of yourselves, your fans don't have some arrogant sense of superiority (I saw quite a few fans with jerseys on which was apparently a faux pas at AU). Call it kissing the ass the just kicked mine or whatever, but I'm gonna be pulling for LSU for here on out. I didn't make the trip down to BR, kind of wish I did now even after the loss. Hope you all enjoy your stay in Morgantown next year, don't let the knuckleheads get to you. It's too bad you had to hand us a L on my birthday, next year it won't happen that way hopefully. Adios Amigos :helmet:
We have our knuckleheads but Auburn is in a class by themselves. As far as superiority complex, I suggest you stay as far away from Tuscaloosa as possible
Check in with us down the road and let us know how things are going. I've always enjoyed watching WV play btw. Now go win the Big East, I'll be pulling for you guys.
I had fun with the West Virginia fans that were in my section last night. I'm happy we're having this series with the Mountaineers.
