By that I mean that he understands what the scientists are saying, not that he has made any scientific contributions personally.
You miss the point. Gore is listening to the climate scientists. You are listening to a English major and politician.
right, like i said, you believe al gore is representing the science accurately, because "he understands" it. i ask this, knowing you have no intention of answering: do you agree with gore's latest assertions about polar ice caps? keep in mind you just said that he understands the science.
if gore is listening to the proper red-approved scientists, then why are his calls to actions not valid? gore and his scientists have said repeatedly that the science shows that we are in danger of a real collapse of civilization. is that not serious? and if it is serious, then why do you not favor the gore policies to drastically change things? is it not important? either gore is right or he isnt. if what he says is true, if what his science shows is correct, then why does red not favor drastic action? the debate is over, the verdict is in, we need serious action now, right? isnt this what the science shows, good science with peer review and famous politicians behind it? this whole scam is the perfect crisis for rich first world white folks. you get to worry, but not really have any way to fix it for sure. you get to feel like you are on the right side of something, and not actually do a damn thing. again, liberalism is not about doing the right thing, it is about telling yourself you are righteous. and that is what everyone cares about. if we gave a damn about anyone but ourselves, we would ditch this stupid scam and fix something real. and i dont fault us for not giving a damn, but the lying makes me uncomfortable.
if he listens to climate scientists, why did the scientist he claims he listens to cut Gore's nuts off when he made his claim about the polar icecaps?
Absolutely. You citing Monckton would be like me citing Gore . . . which I do not do. Because they are politicians with agendas.
Stop asking me questions and then pre-answering them or I will not respond. That's a very generalized question. Yes, the ice caps will disappear soon. No, most scientists think it will be in about 20 years, not 6 years. Some have predicted it earlier, some later. Like Monckton, Gore is a politician and an advocate, so he cherrypicks a single projection. But scientific consensus favors models that use a broader data set. Arctic ice cap will disappear in 20 years, say scientists|Environmental Graffiti Are the ice caps in trouble? Disappearing? You're getting warmer
