    Delegate count (1433 awarded thus far, 1039 left to be decided):

    Trump 690
    Cruz 416
    Rubio 169
    Kasich 143
    Others 15

    Trump has won 48.15 % of the delegates thus far. Removing the anomaly of Ohio, Trump has won 50.5 %.

    He needs to win 547 of the remaining 1039 delegates (52.65 %).

    the independents really really hate Hillary (see outpouring of support for Bernie)

    the independents have supported Trump quite well in these primaries

    he wins the independent vote in the general, there is absolutely no doubt about that, it's going to be one of the biggest factors why he ascends to the Presidency

    and people are sleeping on the many many democrats coming over to the Republican side solely because of Trump.....it's the 2nd part of the equation why he will win the general

    It's Ronald Reagan all over again.
