tee tiny in number of states, but probably the biggest contest to date in the race for the nomination on the GOP side It's 42 winner takes all delegates, and if Trump wins, the race is 100 % over. If Cruz wins it, it could give him the momentum to win all the states that are considered in play for him and maybe even a couple that Trump is currently holding a comfortable lead in. That's the ticket to preventing Trump from 1237.
Clarification on winner take all is on the congressional district level, so Cruz would have to win in all districts to take all of the state's delegates. 8 districts, 3 delegates each, 24 total The other 18 go to the winner statewide vote. Prediction: Cruz 18+12=30 Trump 9 Kasich 3
Well not really. Trump had a lead, then the past two weeks with all the fallout from his gaffes (abortion, nukes, Heidi) lost that lead and Cruz took about a 10 point lead in 1 poll, but the most recent polls in the last day or so so it is too close to call.
Tonight is the night it becomes certain trump can't win, and kasich will be installed as the nominee by the party at the convention.
http://www.realclearpolitics.com/ep...sin_republican_presidential_primary-3763.html Latest polling out of Wisconsin for Republicans. I think Cruz will win this one by 5 points or so. Last poll out had Trump with a 10 pt lead though....probably an outlying poll, but we'll know for sure tonight. Consensus seems to be that tonight is critical for Trump to win in order to avoid a contested convention. I just don't see any scenario where Trump has the nomination taken from him at the convention where he doesn't run as an independent
http://www.realclearpolitics.com/ep...sin_democratic_presidential_primary-3764.html Latest Dem polling. Bernie maintaining a slight lead over Clinton. Bernie's real test and, perhaps, his last stand will be next week in NY. He pulls out a win in NY and we still have a race....she crushes him then it's hard to see why he would keep up the fight. Very similar to where the Republicans are this week with Wisconsin
You mean you were no inspired when Lyin' Ted gave victory sermons/ speeches after losing all 6 caucuses Super Tuesday II? Maybe Les Miles should give Cruz victory speeches after losing to Bama? I dunno. Cruz will very likely win the Cheese state. Then he'll get eviscerated in NY, NJ & likely PA. About 8 days ago, Cruz said he'd win NY, by 13 points. Talk about pumping sunshine out his ass. Let's take bets on that one. This morning Cruz said Trump was supossed to win Wisconsin in the polls. Really? Which poll & in what year? Good ol Lyin' Ted. If the GOP fricks Trump over at a brokered convention, he should run independent, imo. Nobody with conservative views, has gotten even remotely close to the number of votes as Trump. People aren't voting GOP party lines this year, at least in the GOP. The GOP is trying hard to lose or forfeit this election, everyone knows it. Cruz can only win in mostly closed GOP caucuses, in Bible thumping states. If Cruz is the "GOP nominated candidate", it's a beating worse than Romney took. He has zero personality & no charisma. His sermon speeches seem very disingenuous. And he has yet to be hit by the Liberals yet. There may be a reason Trump is getting hit by Clinton, Bernie & even lame duck Obama, but never Cruz or Kasich. Neither are a threat. Pinnochio & Mr. Rogers. I've heard about the "Never Trump" GOP people. What isn't talked about much is people who want to vote Trump, sitting it out. Yuge, unrecoverable massive loss of GOP voters. They can't see that coming for somecreasdon. It's not a knee-jerk reaction either, as the media has been suggesting. Personally, I'm not voting for Cruz , Kasich or any parachuted GOPe candidate. I'm not going to like Cruz in April, May, June etc. And I know I'm not alone. The 43 year old Preibus, running the GOP show is in way over his head. Never seen anything like it before. Good idea, attack your own party's leader. It's similar to Saban attempting to tackle Derrick Henry or Les Miles attempting to tackle Leonard Fournette before he crosses the goalline. My point is If Trump is out & doesn't run indy, the presidential race is over. All of the media limelight on the GOP party disappears. It's gone, over, fini. They'll pretend it's still somewhat of a race for a while, in the media, but it's over. The GOPe can't bring in independents & some democrats like Trump can. If no Trump, see ya in 4 years, maybe.
Trump will suffer the worst defeat in a general election in the history of this country. To make it worse, it will be to the worst candidate the dems have ever put up. Keep on Trumpin, that dog has fleas bruh
