If I were AD, and we beat TAMU, I might still give him another year because that's probably what's best for Fornette in his last year. But my intuition tells me these three losses to these three teams are going to widen and intensify the rift between the groups on each side of the Miles debate. And the fire him group will gain numbers. Constant increasing tension about the state of an elite football program is self fulfilling - it will kill the program.
It may not be the right choice and I still doubt its the smart choice; BUT its probably the least damaging choice for LSU in the long run. And that's what matters. So it's time for a change.
At least we won't lose 6 SEC games as you predicted.

You sure? The Ravens won a super bowl a few months after they kicked his ass to the curb.

How in the world is another year of Les the best thing for Fournette? The shoe in for the Heisman had his dream crushed by incompetent offensive coaching. Any change in offensive philosophy would be a big boost for Fournette.

I think he is just burnt out. Just think of the immense pressure he's been under since 2011. I agree, he should ride off into the sunset with his millions and enjoy the rest of his life. But he won't leave $15m on the table. None of us would.

Red is curled up under the sheets in the fetal position moaning over his dear leader's demise.

I'm sure he'll be here soon enough though, with his beyond tired defense of Les Miles.
