Red, I know you and I have our disagreements, but I also respect your knowledge.

But in this case, the fact is, JJ ALWAYS holds the ball too long...and even us fans know it. Surely, the coaches who get the big $$$ know it. Bottom line, and it ain't even close. Whoever called the passing plays after we were in FG range is at fault. End of subject. If it is Crowton, he should be relieved of his duties. If it is Miles, he needs to let someone else call the plays.

I'm not down for firing Miles at this point, but he was awful in this game with clock management. This is indisputable. But Crowton should be relieved...period. I'm tired of all the "he won with Saban's recruits" crap. We absolutely have top notch talent NOW on offense. It is Gary Crowton's job to call plays to make things happen. But you have to know when we're in FG range, 2 time outs, and over a minute to play...RUN THE BALL UP THE GUT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I wonder if Miles will come out and give a "my bad" and take the fault. I'm a huge Miles supporter, but when you're wrong, you're wrong.

I see things differently then you guys... I can give someone a mulligan on the last 40 seconds... what I can't give a mulligan on is the other 59:20 of the game that the team looks like crap. It's been like that all year basically. This isn't a one game fluke, I don't understand why everyone is mad now.... the only thing that has changed is LSU couldn't come up with the missing individual play to push them over the top.

Love the players, hate the schemes on both side of the ball but the offense play calling is just down right offensive.

Nothing is going to change until you get rid of Crowton. IMHO Eventually LSU fans will tire of the bend but don't break defense... it's wussy ball.

It's really the same thing I have been saying all year, glad you guys are now actually watching the game... unfortunately it is going to take some loses to get you guys to see the truth.

Blame the refs if you want, should have been at least 2 seconds on the clock.

You can't blame the refs, it was a miracle LSU was even close in this one.

I agree, the end was horrible, but not nearly as bad as the offensive performance the rest of the game. Looking at the season as a whole on the offensive side, I don't know if I have ever seen a worse coaching job from top to bottom.

Unbelievable. You're right that the offense was horrible, but you can't blame JJ for doing the same thing he's been doing all year. You can't blame JJ for having Ridley go down with 27 secs and a timeout being called at :09. Bottom line, you run the ball when it's 1st down at the 31 with a minute left and two time outs. You run it until there's :01 on the clock...then you kick a FG and win. If you miss the FG, you still made the right choice, and anybody with ANY football knowledge knows it. That means both of you know it, because both of you have football knowledge. I don't understand why people can't come on here and state the obvious without it being blindly challenged...because some just think the coaching staff is great.

    Agree

Agree...about Crowton. Miles is to blame for much, but he does not need to be fired. You fire coaches early because of 8-9 win seasons, you wind up like Michigan is now.

    Agree again.

Yeah, I don't understand the people on this board. What they are really mad about is not winning the game. To me that is mostly irrelevant.... I want to see a team that is improving, that plays LSU football... when they do that the wins will come. You can't just keep on playing this way and expect to keep winning... it's horrible to watch, it's not going to work, and it's just sad that it took this for people to open their eyes.

What is sad... it's been this way all year. Why is everyone mad now?
I guess I will have to hear all week again out here how wrong I was all season on this board. :)
On this one I hate being right, I truly do. If they don't get rid of Crowton after next week then I
am not turning them on until they do.

I agree with you BTW. :)

Les has to realize this, too, no? Same as last year with the co-DC's. Maybe we see a change after the season... This is just not working.

SIU, nobody is gonna agree with the stuff you've been saying all year. You have mostly downed JJ and CS all year. THAT is what people disagree with you about. People have been complaining about Crowton. Quit acting like you're the only one that has. You just happen to be the only one downing JJ and CS so much in the process. Well, except now. Now Red is blaming JJ for this one. You were blaming Crowton, but in such a way as to throw JJ and CS under the bus with him. You're probably very knowledgeable about football...I dunno. But your arguments are too broad and general for anyone to wholeheartedly agree with anything you ever say.
