missed the point. yankees are the exact model for spending money terribly. everyone knows this even yankee fans. at least this year they spent it on young arms as opposed to the absolute garbage the last 10-15 years. you throw that much money at a problem youre bound to hit bingo on occasion.

i agree with you. although I was raised a yankee hater, i think it was simply because of the word yankee and its association to us rednecks. the yankees are everything thats good about a free market and baseball. i wished my disAstros would have the same payroll. god knows they may spend it more wisely although not much. Boston didnt win theirs until overspending like the yanks and cheating with the juice the same way. im the one who hates the recently dead owner of the twinkies, the piroots and a host of other owners. i just enjoy hating on the yankees since its in my blood. and the fact they still suck. cant wait till CC implodes again in the postseason. maybe he can fake an injury like roidger always did when he got lit up there. btw the yankees had about 10 guys on roids that were busted. about 6 were nobodies.
I'm not denying that the Yankees had roidsters but to single them out is weak. Bonds? McGwire? Sosa? Papi? Palmiero? And hundreds of others...No Yankees there.
