I am not a Yankee fan in the least (prefer the Red Sox), but one can't help but notice that the Yankees now appear to be the strongest team in the majors. And it's because of starting pitching for once. Come playoff time, they have 4 horses to trot out: 1. Sabathia.......... 12-7 3.76 2. Pettitte.............. 9-6 4.14 3. Burnette.......... 10-5 3.67 4. Chamberlain..... 8-2 3.73 A 39-20 record and an ERA around 3.80 for your main 4 starters in the AL is outstanding.
YANKEES WIN! THUH UH UH UH UUH YANKEES WIN! The 8 games the Red Sox won early in the season are meaningless. It might as well have happened 8 years ago. The Dead Sox are once again the Yankees b!tch
Red Sox are hurting right now but so were the Yanks earlier. I still think it goes down to the wire. I really enjoyed sweep though. Even Nootch is quiet.:hihi:
because of their ability to buy anyone. all the smaller market teams cannot compete and never will be able to compete to get those great players. Its almost like 3/4 of the league is a farm system to get to teams like Los Angeles , Chicago, New York, or Boston. MLB needs a salary cap.
