Tennessee fan here. Been one since I was a child and my blood runs orange. This down stretch we have had is killing me. I hate all other SEC teams! However, all but LSU. I pull for you guys every chance I get (not when you play us LOL). You have had a very good decade of football. You have great fans and tradition. You can beat those Gators. Go do it.
Tebow is a great kid and player but other than that FL is not that special. The press have been blowing about them so long they had be thinking they were the greatest of all time. But after our little weak team played them to the wire I realized Tebow carries this team on his shoulders. No more #1 for the Gators.

We all know what happens to teams when smoke is blown up their collective rectums and they are being talked about as potentially being the best of all time.

They get exposed. See Ohio State in 06 as an example.

  4. Thanks Pooods, you guys will be back, no worries. We were down in the 90's so we can relate. It'll change though you guys have the resources and tradition.

appreciate the love, and respect, but saying Florida is not that special couldn't be further from the truth. They have the best Defense in the nation, regardless of what they say in Alabama or Tennessee.

sure their defense may be the best, but let's see how they handle a better offense before we give them that distinction. bama and az state aren't too shabby and have played stiffer competition than florida -- not by much, but they have. of course USC, ohio state, oklahoma, texas... there are some teams playing pretty good "D" so far. let's see how florida looks in a couple of more weeks.

Thanks for the best wishes. Unfortunately, I can not return them as I hope UT loses all of their remaining games. Sorry.

    Thanks for the words.

Went to the gym last night to workout. I had my LSU t-shirt on. Man, you would have thought I killed someone. I had so many conversations and blank stares last night in the gym. One guy told me to take it easy on Tebow, I said well dont put him on the field.

Mobius, I once felt like you too. So I understand where you are coming from. It actually made me sick when we would loose when I was younger. I finally figured out we all lose and it's only a game. A game I love more than any other game though!
LaSalle, Not meaning they are not good. They are a very good team. But, I'm no longer buying the crap the media was saying about all 11 D starters starting in the NFL one day. A few weeks back this was possibly the best college team ever to be assembled. Those were big words and I think they were wrong. Their O is pretty one dimensional IMO. Like I said though, this is a very good team but not as good as people have drilled into their heads. People are saying you guys don't need to be ranked as high as you are but only time will tell. I think you can beat FL.
Also, take Bama out back when it comes time. Only thing better for a TN fan than you beating FL would be you beating AL.
If you guys need a backup QB, let me know. TN has one they are giving away to a good home.

I read much about Chavis on here and how his record against FL sucks. His record is bad, but it wasn't his fault last season. TN's O left the D in horrible situations last season. Horrible field position along with the D being completely worn out led FL to many scores. Ball control might be Chavis's best friend tomorrow. If you guys can run and then run some more Chavis can rest easier. Best way to combat Tebow is with him on the bench. If TN could run on FL with a non-existent passing game I think you all can for sure.
Back in the 90's when FL was beating our good teams here in TN, it was mainly because Fulmer thought he could out score FL. The ball never slowed down. Chavis had talent on his side but not enought to counter that high powered O FL was playing with. Only when Fulmer slowed the game down on the offensive side of the ball were we able to start beating FL some. TN fan's worst problem with a Chavis D was on third and long. Oh my! I would shut my eyes on third and long! Seemed like FL would connect on them every single time. I know the D wasn't doing it but it almost looked like a prevent D on third and long. All in all Chavis is a very good coach. Nobody is perfect and he is better than the majority of SEC coaches IMO.
