From a Buckeye fan...Lets have a great month leading up to the game.

Real Buckeye fans respect your football program and your conference and I wanted to be the first to extend the olive branch and say that this is going to be one hell of a football game. We play defense very well and you play defense very well. You line up on offense and hit people in the mouth with Hester and we line up and hit people in the mouth with Beanie Wells. Folks, this is the right matchup and it will be a fun month leading up to this game. Here's hoping we all keep it spirited, but not hateful and understand that both have great programs that deserve this opportunity! And here's hoping that idiot Florida fans stay out of this conversation, as they are irrelevant. May the best team win. I vote Buckeyes!! Lol. Good luck folks!

Welcome to the board, but if LSU beats OSU, I hope that you're not one of those OSU fans that will blamr the loss on the long layoff.

Nice olive branch, and thanks for the respect. I really think its mutual.
You guys are often in top 10, and in contention for the Big 10 title almost every year.

We in the SEC joke about your lack of overall team speed. Truth be told, you make up for it with solid execution and playing tough, well disciplined football.

It should be a great game, but I think the advantage goes to us for two reasons: 1) we're playing in New Orleans; 2) we'll both be healthy, and when we were 100% healthy we ROLLED.

Good luck Buckeyes! We'll see you in New Orleans for the Crystal.

Yeah, let's have some fun. I plan to. LSU and OSU will be hearing a lot from the naysayers. I plan to tune all that out and focus on us and you guys.

Are you going to the game? I was at the MNC in Jan. 2004. If you go, you will be amazed at what you see. I am not kidding when I say that LSU people will outnumber OSU people in the streets something along the lines of 500-1. I think the OU folks were intimidated by this, but I also think they had a good time. So if you come, just be a good sport and many of us will take care of you with plenty of party favors. Hopefully, none of the Tiger faithful will get out of line. This will be a fun event for us. It's like a home game and having this home game with this implication in the hometown is beyond fun for us!

Good luck to you guys, but I am hopeful that we will heal up quite a bit and then our speed will toast you, much like FU did to you guys last year. ;)

No way. Long layoffs happened the first 5 years of Tressel's career and we were 4-1 in those bowl games. We were'nt ready to play and Troy Smith spent the month eating cheeseburgers and getting fat and out of shape. I don't believe that Florida was that good and I don't believe tOSU was that bad. Just a really really poor performance all around. Tressel's bowl record is proof of that. It will be a great game! And as an aside, we have one big thing in common.....We both SMOKED Notre Lame in bowl games over the last 3 years!!! Lol. Good luck!

Poor performances in the MNC? Inexcusable, frankly. Anyway, you may be right. We'll see. Looking forward to it. :thumb:

Welcome to the boards. Are you sure you want to play another SEC team?

Give us a month to heal, and we may be better than that Fla. team you saw last year.

However, congratulations to you on your season and ranking. Looking forward to discussing things with you this next month.

It should be a great game. At this point it doesn't appear that anyone has a clear edge.

I figure we can get Michigan fans to cheer for us in the National Championship Game since it appears that so much of their energy is focused on you folks (Ohio State). If Michigan fans cheer for LSU after all that has gone on with Les Miles, does that qualify as real irony?
