I doubt that is true, unless you're really old. Season ticketholder of 22 years ... how about you?

Typical dumbass post. Lose, and it's all Miles' fault. Win, and you'll think about giving him credit.

Correction: JR has not stepped up this year against the big dogs, so far. He had bad games vs. Aub and Fla, 2 top 5 teams on the road.:thumb:

Tigerwins, one more that disagrees with you. You cannot have football discussions you can only get into personal attacks. Obviously, you are either young or uninformed. Either way it's too bad for you.

Here is a quote on another thread that just showed up on the board tonight. It's exactly what I said earlier. It's about coaching.

    From cfn.com regarding JaMarcus

Statistically, JaMarcus Russell has improved dramatically from 2005 to 2006 adding 34 yards per game to his average and upping his completion percentage from 61 to 69%. He has improved his game to such an extent that he can now consistently dominate the weaker opponents on the schedule, as he should. However, it's when you break the overall numbers down that you realize the inadequacy of his performance in certain key areas.

When playing against elite SEC opponents1 in 2005 and 2006 he has averaged 204 yds/game and a mediocre 55% completion percentage averaging less than a touchdown per game while also averaging one interception per game. Those two stats alone will not win you many ball games. Should LSU expect to see a W in an SEC game against an elite opponent when the quarterback averages less than a touchdown, one interception, 205 yards, and only a 55% completion percentage for the game?

For those of you saying right now, “what about Alabama, Auburn, and Florida a year ago”? LSU won those games in spite of Russell, not because of him. .

This my friends is coaching or lack there of.

The last part of the cfn article.

What does all this mean? It means Russell, while possessing exceptional talent, still has a lot of room to improve. To date, he has been either a neutral contributor or even a liability against top SEC opponents.

Look it's SabanFan another personal attack favorite. Has there ever been a more kicked around poster than you?

I'll stick to the team and not get into the personal stuff.

My point is this team has a lot of talent. I think Bo Pelini might be the best defensive coach in the country. (Yes, I wanted him out of here after the way we started last year) and he proved me wrong.

I just want us to rise up in big games. Miles doesn't see to have "It" in order to get this team over the hump. Like it or not there are many who agree with that argument.

You could have just posted the article in full to prove your point.:thumb: I think the the article has few facts on many of his points and you are doing the same thing, IMO. Why dont we just wait and see this time to make sure you are right in what you are trying to say about JR. You can argue with this post if you want but I dont see much good in it.

Football discussions? Look at your post that started this thread and tell me if that is discussing football. You've done nothing but insult our coach and Coach Mac. You've made no valid points about LSU football.

    Look up the word discussion...
