Also, it seems that most of the idiotic comments were from people who just recently joined and had less than about 20-30 total posts.

We still got luv for the old-timers.

You can always discuss your concerns.

You aren't censored here for being insufficiently Purple-and-Gold as on some boards. Your posts will never be deleted unless you violate your Users Agreement. TF doesn't ban people for having unpopular opinions and even the worst flame-baiting agitators over the years have mostly only gotten temporary bans.

It's an open forum for discussion. But when we post unpopular opinions we are subject to getting criticism for it. It's the chance we take when we post on a public forum and it pays not to have a thin skin.

In your case, I think some of the shots going past your ears are really being aimed at a few who are more ugly in their criticisms than you have been. We are all LSU fans and some folks get concerned if they think a post has gone beyond civil discusssion and reflects badly on LSU.

Sure I do. I've felt that way about every LSU team since 1967.

But I also think LSU is going to have a fine winning season, I think some of our opponents are as good or better than we are, and I think that taking a few losses to top opponents on the road is part of the game that we must accept. That doesn't mean I like it or think it is inevitable, but it is pragmatic to recognize it and not try to place blame where it doesn't belong.

We're not seeing Curley Hallman-style coaching blunders here. We're not seeing Gerry Dinardo-style poor recruiting. We're not seeing Mike Archer-style discipline problems. When Miles starts screwing up like that and posting losing seasons, I'll call for his head too, but right now our coach is winning with a pretty good record so far. I'll take it. Lots of schools would kill to be where LSU is right now.

You apparently read the posts that got your dander up, looks like to me you'd know who posted them. I have no idea what sets you off, it's why I asked you who did it. I don't consider myself an idiot, do you?

I can handle things fine, it's not MY blood pressure that gets out of hand. Good luck with that. take your pills.

Yeah I can see that in your mind allot of things happen your way. You seem to be quite a legend in your own mind., which naturely spills over to whoever your opinion favors. Too bad they don't play, I won't say SP would beat JC, because I don't know, but it certainly would be a game in which two power house HS teams left it all on the field. And you never know, anything's possible.
It wouldn't be hard for me to imagine a score of SP 35 and JC 10. Yes that would be my prediction. It's about as good as yours, maybe better.

have a good day, and take those blood pressure pills if you need to.
    thanks.

BTW, LOL @ "around" the track. the track isnt "round" it's straight. just a little tidbit for your knowledge.

Coach Miles did do a great job in beating Kentucky 49-0. A shut out in college football is always hard to obtain. This same Kentucky team almost beat Florida so you have to give props to Coach Miles for coming out to play. I think we need to see how the rest of the season goes before throwing Miles under the bus for every little thing.

Updated for Fresno State. We will post again for the Ole Miss game and the Alabama game.

with Tennessee and Arkansas left this board will be humming if we finish 8-4 or 9-3.

If we lose to Tennessee we officially have the return of mediocrity to the Head Coaching ranks at LSU.

For losing to a top ten team whose only loss is to a top ten team? Our Tigers have had their share of bad luck and we'll pull it off anyway but sound a little harsh to me. :eek:ldskule:
