Normally, I'd say make mine a Dixie, but for the forseeable future it will be Restoration Ale.

The last time I had a Dixie was at George's the day of the Appy State game. I hope I can some come crawfish season. The brewery had 8-10 feet of water and may be done. The Bruno's are talking about moving the cypress tanks, which were undamaged, to Shiner and having Shiner brew the beer until the one in NOLA can be restored. The worst part is they had just poured 10,000 bottles before Katrina. They were to ship to a distributer on the 30th. Instead they were covered with 10 feet of water.

    AAARRRGGGGGHHHHHH!!!!

I went to the liquer store today to see if they had the Restoration Ale since they carry other Abita beer, and they said they didn't have it and don't think it will make it this far inland. That was going to be part of what I got my husband for Christmas, now it looks like I can't get it.

And yes, for good beer - or anything over 3.2 cheap chit beer - all wines and liquers included, I have to go to a liquer store. I can't just get it while I am at the grocery store. Something I hate about freakin' Oklahoma and miss about Louisiana.

Anyway, I am pissed that I can't get the Restoration Ale.:cuss:

I can get Restoration all over the place in Atlanta. I bought 5 6 packs yesterday. You may want to try beerkgeek.biz. I know they sell some Abita beers. I usedto get Blackened Voodoo there all the times.
