Good, Bad, Ugly vs Miami

While the O line play needs to improve (and i will bet five out of six critiques from schools across the country will say this after first game) we did beat a top 10 pre season ranked team, and that is huge.

Like most others, I’m mostly concerned about what appears to be a continuing tendency to throttle back and not go for the kill.

If you can score 33 points in three quarters, 30 unanswered, how can you not score two or three more times in the final quarter? We need to finish, whether that means the last 50 minutes or the last five.

But I will take it. For sure.

 

JB had another TD to Chase on a play that we scored on the next play. Had we not hurried and it was reviewed it would've been a TD.

 

but would it had been ruled a catch since he lost the ball or does the play stop when the ball crosses the plane? I'm not sure how that would have been ruled

You need a little more separation before taking the air out of the ball. One more TD would have done it when we were up pretty big. I didn’t love ending the second quarter like we did, but the vanilla 2nd half was worse.

 

One other thing I noticed - Burrow really threw the ball high when trying to get in the endzone - happened at least 2 times
