I mostly agree, but I’ve heard the “not showing their hand this early in the season” excuse for YEARS. We’ll see what happens.
True, but with short QB and OL development in fall camp, your gotta believe we only have a small package developed for a game plan regardless. It will improve, just not as fast as fans want it to.
They probably used less than a third of the playbook. We will see a lot more of it as the OL improves.
Good breakdown. "In the end, we are LSU." - Devin White Rabalais: So, about that grim LSU outlook ... huge night vs. Miami transforms it all https://www.theadvocate.com/baton_rouge/sports/lsu/article_0e284a16-af2a-11e8-8a46-8fa49cd1eaac.html
I’ll take my crow with some tony’s and cholula. LSU is who I thought, much more physical than Miami, albeit I predicted a close loss. I’ll eat my crow like a man and deserve all the shit you guys can give me. Bottom line, I’m proud of these tigers! Great group of young men and played their ass off tonight! Geaux Tigers
I thought they looked great on both sides of the ball once they got towards the end of the 1st quarter. I think Burrow should end up being one of our better QB's over the last several we've had. With Burrow, we saw better decision making, quick on his feet, and can even snatch up some yardage on his own in a pinch. Also enjoyed seeing Brossette tonight, he was great! D was tight as expected. I agree that it began to look like old LSU football after the half. A lot of new faces, first game of the season... slip-ups and mistakes were bound to happen. Still, it wasn't nearly as bad as a lot of people thought it would be. But we've got a tougher schedule than most; hopefully the tension is loosened and the O tightens up some more.
yep, I thought the Tigers looked pretty darn stout, and Joe Burrow showed the look of a leader especially in the decisive 2nd quarter next up Southeastern Louisiana Lions
