Yep we expect (not me) our teams to win immediately much like how we expect to get a hamburger these days, fast food mentality. We have become to used to instant gratification.
With all do respect. When a team has the level of talent across the roster that LSU does, a reasonable expectation is for that team to be successful on the field and compete for conference championships. LSU has been talent rich for over a decade, yet routinely plays in Outback/Chik bowls. I would say that's underachieving with the kind of talent and ability that LSU is loaded with. I don't call it "fast food mentality", I call it reasonable expectations. #JustSayin
I agree. I would not consider expecting LSU to compete within our conference and beyond for championships based on the talent we bring in year in and year out as an over inflated expectation. I think most of us are being pretty fair without lowering the standards too much. Hell my last 2 posts were on how I could see Mississippi State winning 9 or 10 games and LSU going 8-4. That’s a fair assessment this year but that’s still crazy! We’re LSU, they’re Mississippi State! I just don’t want to become the next Tennessee
With all due respect you think we have better talent than Bama, Georgia and Aub right now not to memtion Moo U? Sorry I follow recruiting religiously and you are wrong. Besides all those teams I memtioned have veteran QB's which is a big big deal. Your expectations are unreasonable so I suspect you will one of those fans who will be perpetually pissed and disapointed. If we go 7-5 you will be pissed if we go 11-1 you will be pissed. Educate yourself on recruiting.
Stats do not lie. Per a link in another thread, only 5 teams in the Country have a higher percentage of blue chip talent on their rosters than LSU. Which means we should never consider 7-5/8-4 a good year.
I’ll just leave this right here....... https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.sb...tball/2018/8/22/17606048/blue-chip-ratio-2018
