I don't care a lot, in fact I don't care at all. I think the issue, if there is one, is not that regulars could not make it, since it is understandable a lot gets jammed in to non home game weekends, but that folks that don't/can't normally go, didn't swarm the stadium capitalizing on a infrequent chance to see a top 10 home team play. Regardless, it sure as hell is not a subject worth getting pissed off about.
In some way I agree HWR. I wish more had joined us in the stadium. However like season ticket holders, those many make plans based on the Tiger's schedule too.
Unfortunately I was working and because of the timing of it I couldn't change my schedule last minute to work another day since my work week goes from Sunday to Saturday. This isn't a problem for people in Bama because they all don't have jobs.
Amigo, listen closely, I get that. I could give a rats ass about all you snob ass season ticket holders. We know you have wine tastings and brie judging contest to attend and then there are few that have good solid things like a scout outing. I wonder what the wait list for season tickets is at now? I know for a fact there are a lot of people that say "man, I wish I could get a good seat at a decent price" and those slack asses have no excuse for not being there on Saturday. Don't take it so personal. I know you went, because you are a good solid Tiger Fan. I'm talking about the ones on the outside looking in, the tens of thousands that just pissed on what might be their only chance to walk on hallowed ground.
Then you'd really be surprised how often I end up with extra tickets to good games and can't find any of those wishers that will pay close to face value for them. They are all willing to take them for free, but there aren't as many big talkers willing to fork over the money as you may think.
That is truly sad. If it were logistically easier for me to get there I'd pay face for any ticket to any game. You ever have trouble unloading any shoot me a PM. Long way to drive for me on a hope and a prayer that I can get tickets.
I just got an email from my wine tasting club. I've been suspended for missing Saturday's Strawberry Hills Forever tasting. If I miss next week's Chugalug With Cheddar Extravaganza I'm out for good
I do a fair amount of catering. I don't do jobs on Tiger home game weekends because I go to as many games as I can. As I've said before, I just buy tickets outside the stadium (occasionally use my sister's tickets when they can't go). This weekend, I cooked 4 hours Friday evening, ALL day Saturday, and again today for about 4 hours. My kitchen doesn't have a TV (it's not at home) so I had to stream the game through my phone and a blue tooth speaker. On the upside, I made a few extra dollars. It all goes to LSU anyway...daughter is 3rd year premed and other daughter starts next year.
