I thought the play calling was much better. What do you know, you can throw short safe passes against 8-9 in the box. The offense also did a better job of spreading the ball around in the passing game. We'll see better pass rush and coverage in coming weeks, but this is the passing game we have been missing. The Defense worries me, the level of competition is about to start rising. We're not getting a pass rush and mediocre QB's are having career days against this D. The LBs are really struggling against the pass and the DBs have been far less impressive lately. Special teams, what can you say? It's unfathomable that a team that is overflowing with top tier athletes, returns scholarship kickers and has a record of outstanding special teams could possibly be this bad. It's absolutely embarrassing to have to squib kick against a poor SCAR team with a big lead. There is not one part of special teams that is close to being on par. Peveto is failing on an epic level. It's obvious someone on the staff needs to step in and help. Still with the discovery of a passing game to go with an outstanding running game it was an enjoyable game to watch and I was happy for the offensive coaching staff. A lot of stuff to clean up in a short amount of time but good effort.
Well, Geronimo, I have been there. Will most probably be there on Saturday and yes, I have kids that don't get out of school till Friday afternoon. Couple that with a job and a 10 hr drive with a 14:30 kick and logistically it just doesn't fit. That doesn't excuse the couple million people that live within an hour or two of the stadium. You can't convince me they ALL had a wedding to attend.
Great point and there's really no excuse for it. Their best WR being covered by our worst cover guy. What's the logic behind that? Also, I'm glad Harris had the game he did and will continue to get better and more confident, but I can't stand when he double clutches on certain throws. It's like he doesn't trust what his eyes see. He also needs to be smarted when he's flushed from the pocket. Throw the ball away before stepping out of bounds. He continues to be a work in progress, even though he played much better today.
