Seems to me that Jennings isn't very adept at going through progressions when his first option doesn't look good. Then he kind of locks up & doesn't let his natural athleticism take over when he needs it, although he is a damn good athlete. Harris stays much calmer in the pocket & believes in the play call. He trends to throw the timing route much better if nothing disrupts the play such as a mishandled snap or oncoming rusher. And when he is faced with that dilemma he is more likely to remain calm & use his abilities to make a play. He also has a freaking gun. I'm sure he'll make some mistakes but I don't see him getting real flustered like Jennings did. Lord I hope I'm right.
something which struck me the other day watching harris' interview was toward the end he mentioned how hes never gotten nervous when playing. Ive met a handful of people like this who would not get flustered but would in fact, perform better under duress. thats a gift few are blessed with. lets see if that holds up on the plains.
i just meant people i knew personally on a lower level but superior athletes. but mj and jeter are good examples of performing best when the lights were brightest. not david duvall.
Whatever happened to that dude? Did John Daly eat him? Damn Ryder Cup team could have used both of em. Sure couldn't have hurt.
Heck, we've all seen or played with guys who overachieved because of that something special they had. When you combine that with superior talent & work ethic you get the Jordan's, Jeter's, etc.
