Problem is the man on the sidelines is more important to the success of the team than any one recruit.
Very true, but if Beckwitch comes back, and LSU gets a monster haul, Les could luck his way into Atlanta with some breaks. Highly unlikely but it's happened before. Only problem, if that does happen, we are stuck with him longer.
Wrong, it is exactly why we are talking about this now. If we win in spite of him and not because of him that is a problem
I'm kinda torn on this. Winning ugly is still winning. Problem is we have been doing less and less winning lately.
Hey, folks. I'm back, fresh off interviews at USC and Alabama for their head coaching positions. Yes, I know those positions are currently filled, but the folks in LA don't expect Clay Helton to last through 2016, and my buddy Nick Saban has confided to me that he's moving on to the Indianapolis Colts after the CFB playoffs next year. So both universities did their due diligence in planning, and I am their top choice to be the head football coach at their respective schools in 2017. I hope they don't fight over me too hard. That sort of conflict can get so bloody. I have to admit that it's really sad the way the Les Miles saga went down in November. Of course, there are many ways the university could have avoided that PR nightmare, chief among them was keeping me as their head man in '94! I built the foundation that resulted in national titles in 2003 and 2007, and look how LSU treated me! I'm not bitter, though. I wish LSU all the luck in the world in the Texas bowl. You may even run in to me at the game. I'll be the guy in the end zone seats chewing Skoal and eating Golden Flake potato chips. Simultaneously. Happy holidays! Sincerely, Curley H.
