Jamal Adams struggled in his first few games, but is now getting a ton of confidence in becoming the playmaking safety we thought we were recruiting. DBU alive and well at LSU.
Adams is definitely a stud and will get better. Teuhema was an absolute steal in the last recruiting class. A 3 star guy that some said was recruited only to get his brother, but he's getting PT as a true freshman. If the coaching staff can develop these young guys on the DL look out in the future.
Well, that was a great choice, b/c he is really progressing quickly. He's been the standout the last few games!
Great assessment as always and the trend is certainly our friend But....Jennings may have stayed in the pocket, may have, but he is still jumping up and down like a bunny on crack. He is not reading the coverage and is throwing to a predermined man, whether open or not, whether open or not. He is playing like he is, a mid year sophomore in the big leagues. We expect way too much, and when we don't get it, we bitch. I bitch, we all bitch. He is not gonna be a great QB this year, he has to much to learn. And without a great performance at QB, I will opine the next four weeks will be rather muted.
There are a lot more power plays out of the I, for sure. But I suppose it does a couple things. It wears down a thin front seven like Kentucky had. This showed in the second half. Bama and Ole Miss are considerably less thin, but we were not playing them. Cam thought he could run on these guys and it turns out that we could. It is also setting up some fakes off this play to use when we really need it. You can burn a team that slips nine into the box if you catch them napping. Mostly I think Les' strategy out weighed his tactics. I think one way that we compensate for a young team versus some high-powered offenses is to keep their offense on the bench as long as possible. Les doesn't mind averaging four yards a carry if it can move the sticks, keep the defense resting on the sideline, and have a low risk of a foolish freshman interception, with which Les has had much experience.
miss st was subbing 13/14 guys on the front 7. Auburn was doing something similar. this used to be our advantage. Ole Miss is nothing nice either. they allowed zero rushing yards yesterday so t may be the immovable force vs the immovable force.
