I don't think you'd catch a 1 on 1 though. Wolves aren't that dumb, coincidentally, big cats aren't dumb enough to take on a pack of wolves either. But 1 on 1, no doubt.
Mike VI is 10. Tiger's living in captivity have a life expectancy of from 16 to 20 years. Mike has better accommodations than most tigers living in captivity and has regular medical care and a healthy diet so he could live longer than that. Maybe he would man up if he was threatened with being traded to a zoo. Or of being donated to another team with Tigers as their nickname. Being the Grambling Tiger doesn't sound nearly so appealing as being the LSU Tiger.
If PETA has anything to say about it, there will never be a Mike VII. But the species is endangered in the wild and the LSU mascot is the most pampered tiger on the planet in his 2 million dollar habitat. All he needs is some companionship and there is room in their for that, too.
