This team has the potential, the necessary ingredients to win the SEC and make the playoffs. I think we're all frustrated with -- Playing down to opponents Dropped balls The D letting up or taking a series off Poor kick/punt coverage Penalties Vanilla offense But in the end, I think 3 or 4 things are the root cause -- #1 This is a fairly young team. Look at the 2 deep and you'll see a ton of Soph and several Freshmen/RFS. This team could use some maturity. #2 Our QB has exactly 5 starts under his belt. Our stud RB averages almost 9 yards per carry. Even against 8-9 in the box. Play calling is easy - hand it to #7. #3 We're aren't as deep in some areas as we'd like to be. #4 Kick/Punt coverage is about attitude. We need to put players on these units that have that edge/ mentality.
What this team is missing right now is the swagger that the 2011 team had. Their inner badger needs to show up.
This is so ridiculous. He was wondering why the freakin' EMU coach had called a stupid timeout when we were taking a knee. Miles didn't call a timeout, and he wasn't asking the state troopers if he had one. But don't let that get in the way of thinking Miles is just that stupid.
I think you might have missed where they were actually talking about a game from a couple of years ago instead of the EMU game of last week.
Settle down. I'm talking about a year or two ago when he most certainly asked the state trooper if we had a time out
He did look at the troopers confused as to whether the EMU coach called a timeout or not. He was dumbfounded by the fact a coach would actually want to leave the playing field without having one or two to spare. And yes there was another instance, which Shane mentioned where Leslie tried consulting with the troopers before. Regardless, the ignorance is real with the hat. And yet another episode on national television he proves it.
Yes one of a couple chinks in his armor that drive the average fan insane. However you must admit it's one of his very few weaknesses. It's just one that you would expect such a successful coach to master easily. Clock management, putting together a passing game and public speaking are his kryptonite. He's pretty much Superman on everything else. I think the public speaking and clock management are connected. He just can't process that quickly. The passing game is simply a concept that repulses him. The clock management and passing game is something he can pass on to someone better at them. If he does that, I couldn't care less if the only word he says during press conferences and interviews is "duh".
