The ball he threw on the crossing route was not an easy one. If you watch it again you will see he had tight coverage and out of bounds to deal with and he put it on the money. I'll take those all day with our running game!!! Keeps the corners & safeties honest while our bulls run over people!
Miles Brennan completed his only pass attempt and looked good handIng off to CEH. That was good also.
This is where Canada comes in. He probably knows all about Etlings limitations and designs plays that fit his skills and arm strength. We won 2 NC's with 2 QB's (Mauck & Flynn) who didn't have great arm strenght. Brandon Harris had fabulous arm strenght, I rest my case.
He certainly did, I was impressed how he handled the offense with all the pre snap motion, and the quick handoff on the jet sweep isn't something you can just do in your sleep. He was quick, and I must say it was very nice to see the future come in on their first possession of their career and not look like complete shit like the last guy did against Wisconsin.
I was impressed most of all with his poise and the control he displayed in the drive. Another minute or two and it would have been a TD. I hope we have a large enough margin vs the Moccasins that he gets to play at least a full quarter with maybe enough time to give Narcisse a drive or two.
About like shutting out the Mighty Southern Utah Thunderbirds. Did they get their mascot from the car or from the cheap wine by that name?
